How does the use of montage illustrate the intention of directors and what is its effect on the audience:

this clip from Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a good example of a montage, due to it brings the audience to there toes due to he almost got into trouble for not being home when is parents were about to be. So he had to run to his house and all this. Then right when he got home is parents were about to come inside and then they started a convo outside. Right when Ferris was about to come inside the key wasn't there were it normally is and then Mr. Omani came into frame with the key In his hand. it was that delayed the relief was still there were still on are toes hoping he doesn't get into trouble. Then his sister comes out and helps him so it didn't look like he was out and also so he didn't get into trouble.
