Hugo Reflection

When the war happened and he had to put his films on hold. When the war came to a end people started to not like his films and got bored of them due to the reality of them. Hugo had to stop doing his films due to no one really liked them anymore and he wasn't making money. His films would be sold and made into heels for women. He would make happy endings in his films but in real life there wouldn't be a happy ending.

What was your favorite part of the class this year? 

- my favorite part of this year in film was learning more camera angles and using objects such as drones, slider, etc.. 

What have you learned the most about?  

- something I learned the most was using a drone due to my one friend has one and now I have a better consept on how to use it due to I was always afraid to use one due to how much they cost and I don't want to be reasonable if I crashed it.

What didn't you like so much? 

- I didn't dislike anything this year at all I thought this year in film 2 was a pretty fun year learned a lot. 

Does the film take a stance for or against the existence of Facebook? Does it comment in any way on the impact it has had on the world today?

yes its for facebook due to Zuckerberg is going following this one girl and she is about to be in a breakup and he's trying to go and get her basically  kinda in some ways due to some people do follow there ex's on facebook or some other social media site and others could be in a relationship and going to find other people so yes and no 

3. Is there anything stereotypical about the representation of adults? 

I think its for somewhat older people maybe 18-25 years old today due to how the words are worded and how it shows facebook and social medias. social media is were most people find news and stories on to what is going on in there everyday life. and news on facebooks also spreads every fast and that is on mostly every social media page out there.

2. How is the scene humorous? 

when u was watching I thought that Erikas sayings could be seen as humorus in some sense for example when she was dating hum is like dating a stair master I thought that was funny part and could be consider humorous,  after that when she has some funny remarks she would do and say and that is pretty humorous and a little bit of marks due to he is really intelligent and every time Erika would say it he would change how she would say it or word it and make it funny.

3. What is unique about the editing and pace of the sequence?

through out the scene it was a fast pace like it was meant to be intense in a way, fro example the cuts were very fast, and those cut made it feel fast pace and everything is going really fast like it was intense

Red finally goes and wins his parole after a long 40 years in prison. He then goes and finds money that Andy had left for him under a rock in a field and sets off to the sunny coast of Mexico, where he finds his old friend, Andy, starting a business for boat-renting.

2. What is the significance of Andy asking the prisoner’s name – the ‘New Fish” beaten by the guards?

Though other prisoners consider Andy “a really cold fish,” Red sees something in Andy, and likes him from the start. Red believes Andy intends to use the hammer to engineer his escape in the future but when the tool arrives and he sees how small it is, Red puts aside the thought that Andy could ever use it to dig his way out of prison.

1. What is this movie personally telling or teaching you? What is the film’s ending trying to personally convey to you?

Symbolism: “Pan's Labyrinth”  the subject explored  is “Good vs. Evil vs. Innocence.” The sobering message of the film the conclusion drawn  is that in a war torn between good and evil, there is not place for innocence.

2. Watches and time: What is the symbolism and backstory to Captain Vidal’s watch? Why is it an important plot device?

The watch (Symbol) In this moment, the watch represents the fact that Vidal is exacting and meticulous in his sense of time and order. It is an extension of his fascist political ideals, his fanatical insistence that everything conform to his predetermined plan.

due to it has drama and most Hollywood movies have drama it have war a lot of Hollywood movie use war in there films and also fantasy.

to get the story line across on whatever the theme is etc..

control over the nazis etc.. rebellion from the nazi the girl is and the choices lead her to bad things etc.. 

In Spanish, faun is fauno; why did the English version insist on making the faun into Pan himself? Who was Pan? Why include the god of forests and nature?

as a more goat like appearance with ram like horns and milky eyes.a character there to be witness and shepherd her (Ofelia) in her rite of passage, but he has no agenda.
